Social media is growing businesses exponentially every year.
If social media was not around today, then many businesses including mine would not be here.
Why could that be?
Because modern social media platforms have been crucial for engagement, development of authority, reach, and sales.
There are millions of businesses and social media makes them accessible to anyone.
Social media is a powerful tool to have for business. The businesses who use social media separate themselves from the “weak”.
Having an online presence is important.
More importantly, knowing what the best social media strategies are to leverage that presence to your advantage.
If you aren’t sure whether your social media methods are working, you are not alone.
In fact, 45.9% of small business owners are unsure if their marketing strategies work.
16.6% reported that they know their strategies do not work.
That’s a whopping 62.5% of business owners in total that are not confident in their marketing.
Most businesses will question at some point whether their marketing actually works.
Early on I found that the greatest return on my investment and most important investment is social media.
That includes the time I’ve invested, resources invested, and other people’s time and resources invested in my own work.
If I had not realized the impact of social media then I doubt my brand and other brands I’ve worked with would have had the growth and exposure they have today.
So, what ways can your brand separate its self from the other businesses?
Have strategies in place for your social media, know when to optimize your social media and find out what you have overlooked.
The benefits of these changes and realizations will have:
A noticeable impact that will increase the traffic and business to your site.
The potential of your social media is only untapped because nobody has taught you the most useful ways to harness it.
But today that changes.
Progress is not made until you know what’s working and what isn’t. So you need to measure your social media analytics to know.
74% of small businesses are planning to use social media as part of their marketing strategy for 2018.
Having multiple marketing efforts can be good but having one right marketing effort can be extremely effective.
You need to understand which metrics make the most sense for your business.
Now that you’re tracking metrics and all the analytics. It is important that all content made is easily sharable for mobile users and released at the most optimal time and day of the week for the most social media engagement.
Knowing what to post that gets engagement is the only piece of what makes an effective post drive traffic and sales to a site.
The other portion is timing the post.
Especially being consistent with posting.
Here is a quick video on why consistency is so important.
Staying committed to a solid approach will increase the value and the awareness of your pages and site dramatically.
The more relevant you can become the more buzz you can generate about your business.
Social media and messaging accounts for 1 in every 3 minutes users spend online.
This means you have so much opportunity to capture attention with social media online.
This also means you need to follow a consistent schedule to be able to reap the benefits.
First, you need to go see the most optimal times to post on your social media pages in the insights tab. Then go set up a schedule.
There are once again all kinds of ways you can schedule posts. Facebook has a built-in scheduler for all of your posts, you can use google calendar, or a software if you want to get fancy with it. Using proper social media tools will help make you a powerful influencer in your space.
You should now have an idea how to use a social media system to your advantage.
There is over 1 million social media influencer worldwide and 84% of social media leaders track their metrics.
Now I know you might not want to be an influencer but you need to understand that the leaders that have millions of people engaging and following their content use these strategies to grow their influence.
So that means you probably should too.
It’s a matter of understanding the number of posts, with what types of content to release at the right time.
Posting with the right social media frequency and having quality content – consistently being delivered, you can drive mass amounts of traffic and business.
This ultimately will raise the value of your business.
As well as streamline the whole process of ensuring your content engages users and spikes your traffic. There is an overall average time you can release your posts based on social media studies. But, each social media page is going to be different because everyone has their own unique followers. So I suggest you check your own analytics.
Though if you post at these times you should see an increase in reach and engagement versus posting randomly.
Make sure you're creating engaging content and you have a schedule that you know you can execute on for your business.
Knowing this information can give you insight on optimizing your posts to drive the right amount of traffic and business to your site.
Driving traffic and generating leads is the biggest content challenge according to most marketers.
Now that you know how to get more shares on your content, when to schedule your posts and what data you need to measure for your business.
The final part of all these strategies is publishing content that performs better than other pages and your competitors. Millions of social media posts are released every second so make sure your content stands out, is very important.
So how in the world are you going to be able to compete to be able to win over customers?
The answer is actually quite simple: You lead, don’t compete.
Creating content that is compelling and original gives others a choice that is to compete or not compete. There is no other way around it.
Content marketing is big and 86% of businesses use it for B2C.
For B2B, it’s even higher being at 91%.
That means positioning yourself as an authority and leader in your industry is important.
If you don’t, someone else will.
It’s calculated that content leaders who are a voice of authority in their field receive upwards of 8 times more traffic verse the ones who don’t.
You should have come here because you want to drive more traffic right?
Creating your own, original content that utilizes the social media strategies that I have gone through today is pivotal in growing your business.
